Arkady was born on January 21, 1922 in Rogachev Belorusha and at the age of 19 he graduated from an Aviation Academy in Borisogleb, Belorusha and enlisted in the air force as a fighter pilot as soon as the war broke out in 1941.

Arkady was born on January 21, 1922 in Rogachev Belorusha and at the age of 19 he graduated from an Aviation Academy in Borisogleb, Belorusha and enlisted in the air force as a fighter pilot as soon as the war broke out in 1941.
 
He took part in the most catastrophic and crucial battles defending Orsha, Minsk, Leningrad, Kursk and others. As a fighter pilot he and his air force regiment took part in liberating Poland, Belorusha and ended up his heroic fights in Berlin.
 
Arkady was wounded 5 times during the period from 1941-1945, but after each recovery, he returned to the battle fronts and continued fighting against German Fashists.
 
For his remarkable service Mr. Arkady Levin was rewarded with The Medal of Honor, Medals of World War 2 of First and Second Degree and many, many other medals. He was rewarded and honored with so many distinctive medals and awards for his brave military service during the war, that there was not enough space left on his military uniform to display them.
 
Till the last days of his life Arkady Levin was an active and a proud member of both Russian and American Committee of WW2 Veterans.  Victory Day was his favorite Holiday and he always walked down Fifth Avenue during the veterans parade together with his Russian and American veterans. He was a very wise man and having survived the atrocities of war and having lost so many of his soldiers friends and family members, he was always for peace and against wars!
